The monsoon is definitely here! Amidst heavy showers and usual serpentine traffic, we headed out this morning for the third client kick-off presentation - Kenya Agribusiness and Agroindustry Alliance. The place was for a change a little away from the city and was calm and serene. The project involves building a value chain for dairy products. After an hour of interaction with the client and after having a hot tasty coffee there, we headed to meet the Country General Manager, IBM East Africa. The Atrium building houses The IBM Innovation Center - a one of its kind in Africa. The interaction with the team helped understand the CEWA strategy and the work that is being done there. We then had lunch at a nearby restaurant amidst heavy rains. The pictures below should say it all. Post lunch, we were back in the apartment for some serious discussion on our project - WEF, and our plan and approach for the same, that actually starts tomorrow, while the 4th team was away for their kick-off session at the Federation of Kenya Employers.
Just back after having dinner at Viva Lounge. Rains all day. I believe Nairobi hasn't seen such heavy rains for a good number of months now. Definitely welcome showers :)
Important and a very early day tomorrow. Off to sleep.
